Dolls cross time and culture. A doll reflects our experience of our selves. Waldorf dolls are dolls to play with, to love and to cuddle. They are made of all-natural materials: chintz, cotton and wool, and are stuffed with washed and carded sheep wool, which makes them soft and warm to the touch.

The head is firmly attached to the body, the arms and legs are flexible. Details like ears, fingers, toes and navel are intentionally left out, to stimulate the use of the child's fantasy. Waldorf dolls are especially designed to facilitate the child's desire to express a variety of feelings and emotions through play. They are safe and cuddle-proof.

Any toy that stimulates the child's natural ability to activate its inner creativity is a good toy. The Waldorf doll's facial expression is neutral and subtly defined, often through the use of cotton yarn (muline). This enables the child to imagine the doll is laughing, crying or sleeping.
